Quit 'Cold Turkey' During Upcoming Great American Smokeout Events
As part of the Great American Smokeout, Methodist facilities will host informational tables providing resources on how you or your loved ones can quit smoking, vaping and chewing tobacco.
These events are free and open to the public.
Event information: Methodist Hospital, Methodist Women’s Hospital, Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital and Methodist Fremont Health cafeterias – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21
Shared Services – 10:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20
Resources from National Quitlines, QuitSmart and the American Cancer Society will be available, as well as information on lung cancer screenings, including the low-dose CT scan, which is used to detect lung cancer at its earliest stages.
Food service will be offering “cold turkey” wrap sandwiches as a part of the cafeteria menus, and visitors of the booth spaces can enter a drawing to win a free turkey!
