Methodist Marketing Department Wins 18 National Awards

The Methodist Health System Marketing Department was recently honored with 18 awards in two national competitions: the Aster Awards for excellence in medical marketing and the Healthcare Marketing Report Advertising Awards, the nation's oldest and largest health care advertising awards program.

Methodist Publication Wins National Honors

The Aster Awards and Healthcare Marketing Report honored The Meaning of Care Magazine with Gold awards.

The magazine is written, designed, photographed and produced in-house by the Methodist Health System Marketing Department. 

The Meaning of Care Magazine is available at our affiliate sites and mailed to over 50,000 consumers in targeted ZIP codes, with circulation and demographics matched to each issue's content. Recipients include many of Methodist’s patients, clients, physicians and donors to our foundations as well as members of the media, who often pick up and expand on the stories. The magazine is available online at bestcare.org/tmoc.

The other MHS advertising and marketing projects honored by these national award programs reflect the ongoing successful collaboration between MHS Marketing and Anderson Partners Advertising.

Methodist Awarded Healthcare Advertising Awards 

“The Commitment Behind the Badge” campaign was launched in 2018. This campaign, along with the 2018 Race for the Cure campaign, The Meaning of Care Magazine, A Night Under the Big Top VIP Fundraising event collateral and the corporate office environmental graphics, was submitted to three advertising and marketing award shows.

Anderson Partners, an Omaha advertising agency, has represented Methodist for more than 20 years. The agency works collaboratively with the Marketing team to develop the advertising campaign and other promotional collateral.  

Methodist’s advertising and marketing collateral were judged against some of the best in the country in health care advertising.

Methodist received 18 awards for its 2018 campaigns, including six awards in the
2018 Aster Awards and 11 awards in the 2018 Healthcare Advertising Awards by Healthcare
Marketing Report.

The 2018 Hospital Marketing National-Midwest Advertising Awards listed Methodist as a finalist in all four categories entered, and Methodist received an honorable mention in the Best Outdoor/Community Outreach category.

Materials developed, produced and/or distributed during 2018 were eligible for the 2019 award programs.
