Methodist Sponsoring Head for the Cure on July 21
Methodist is a corporate sponsor of Omaha's Head for the Cure, a 5K Run/Walk at Lewis & Clark Landing on July 21 that raises awareness and funds for the fight against brain cancer.
Proceeds will help benefit Leap-for-a-Cure, a grassroots effort to improve awareness, education and treatment of brain cancer in the Omaha community, especially at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center.
Omaha's Head for the Cure 5K Run/Walk will be held at Lewis & Clark Landing on Sunday, July 21:
- Race begins: 8 a.m. (runners in the front, walkers in the back)
- Kid's Fun Run: 9:15 a.m.
- Keeping the Faith Awards: 9:30 a.m.
- 5K race awards: Immediately following 5K

The National Brain Tumor Society reports that over 700,000 people in the U.S. are living with a primary brain and central nervous system tumor. This year, nearly 16,000 people will lose their battle with a primary malignant and central nervous system brain tumor.
The Head for the Cure Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funding for research in the fight against brain cancer. Head for the Cure works to inspire hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy.
