Cardiac Rehab Week is Feb. 10 - 16
Cardiovascular disease accounts for almost 50 percent of all deaths in the U.S. Coronary artery disease affects 13.6 million Americans each year.
Nearly 1.5 million Americans sustain myocardial infarctions each year.
Help us celebrate National Cardiac Rehabilitation Week and draw attention to the role of cardiac rehabilitation in reducing the potentially devastating effects of heart disease.
Cardiac rehabilitation reduces the risk of fatal MI and decreases the severity of angina and the need for anti-angina medications. Participation in a cardiac rehabilitation program decreases hospitalizations, decreases the number of ER visits and decreases cardiac event rates.
