Quit 'Cold Turkey' During Great American Smokeout Events Today
As part of the Great American Smokeout, Methodist hospitals will host informational tables providing resources on how you or your loved ones can quit smoking, vaping and chewing tobacco.
These events are free and open to the public.
Where: Methodist Hospital, Methodist Women’s Hospital and Methodist Jennie Edmundson cafeterias
When: Thursday, Nov. 15, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Resources from National Quitlines, QuitSmart and the American Cancer Society will be available as well as information on lung cancer screenings, including the low-dose CT scan, which is used to detect lung cancer at its earliest stages.
Food service will be offering “Cold Turkey” wrap sandwiches as a part of the menu, and visitors of the booth spaces can enter a drawing to win a free turkey!
