Alzheimer's Walk Is Sept. 23: Join the Methodist Team!
The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Methodist Health System is a sponsor for the 2018 Omaha Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, Sept. 23, in Stinson Park at Aksarben Village.
- 9 a.m. - Registration/Check-In
- 10:15 a.m. - Ceremony Begins
- 11 a.m. - Walk Begins
Please consider joining the Methodist Health System team. Your participation could bring researchers one step closer to finding a cure for this incurable, progressive and fatal disease.
There are no registration fees, but donations are appreciated. Participants can register at the walk, but team registrations should be completed prior to the event.
Participants who raise or contribute $100 or more receive a T-shirt. Forward all contributions and donations collected to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Alzheimer's disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. In 2015, an estimated 700,000 people in the United States age 65 and older will die with Alzheimer's.
Those with Alzheimer's live an average of eight years after their symptoms become noticeable to others, but survival can range from four to 20 years, depending on age and other health conditions.
