NICHE-AgeWISE Best Practices in Gerontological Care: CE Credits Available

Nurses, Social Workers, LMHP's, Care Managers, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Medical Assistants, and other healthcare professionals with an interest in the care of the older adult are invited to participate in an upcoming NICHE-AgeWISE Collaborative event. This conference will provide best practices in the care of older adults across the continuum of care.

Anita J. Meehan, MSN, RN-BC, ONC, FNGNA and Ami Hommel, PhD, RN, CNS.

Program Objectives:

  • Describe the purpose and membership of the international collaboration of orthopaedic nursing.
  • Review the internationally developed consensus guidelines for best practice care of older adults with fragility hip fracture.
  • Describe how implementing specific evidence-based care strategies improved patient outcomes across Sweden.
  • Describe the process of creating and testing an audit of nursing quality indicators specific to the care of older adults with hip fracture, and much more!
