Kronos - Upgrades Coming in July

Hello! Recently we communicated with you that Methodist is upgrading our Kronos application. Kronos is the system that records your time worked – in and out punches.  This project will upgrade our current version 6.1 up to version 8.1 in a Kronos-hosted cloud environment. In addition, we will also make available the newest features that Kronos offers.

One of the new features is the ability to clock in/out using the current TeleTime (phone) or using a computer.  Here are some of the features of each option available in late July:

• Using a computer to Clock In/Out and Transfer hours:
  • You can actually SEE the names of the department, unit, or job that you are selecting. This should significantly improve the accuracy of recording worked hours in the right department.  
  • Rather than asking a manager to review or trying to use the rather cumbersome Teletime menus, you can view your timecard and PTO balances at the click of a mouse.
  • Each week you will be able to review and approve your timecard
  • Request PTO using the Kronos application – no paper! 
• Using the updated TeleTime to Clock In/Out:
  • You record your own name -recording is played back as confirmation when your employee ID is entered successfully.
  • Allows user to change level of detail in the prompts - experienced users can streamline their clock in/out time, and less experienced users can hear more detailed instructions
  • Once you set up your schedule, you can hear your schedule for a selected day or week
  • Worked Hours review - you will be able to hear the total number of hours worked in the current pay period.
  • Last time entered on TeleTime – forgot if you punched in or out?  The new system will tell you when your last punch was.
