Babysitting Basics Class at Methodist Women's Hospital -- Openings Available Starting June 1

ParentSavvy.com is presenting a four-hour Babysitting Basics class for youth 11 and older who are preparing to begin a babysitting career.

This training will offer the necessary safety knowledge and skills for youth babysitters to care for infants and children responsibly:

  • Basic child care will be demonstrated and practiced, including handwashing, feeding, diapering and calming techniques.  

  • Included is Family and Friends CPR (non-certificate), which offers life-saving skills and education in a group environment. 

  • Participants will also learn babysitting etiquette and fun activities to keep children engaged and entertained.

Space is limited. Classes fill quickly.

Dates:  Friday, June 1
              Friday, June 8
              Friday, June 15
              Friday, July 20

Time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Location: Women’s Medical Office Building, 717 N 190th Plaza, 2nd floor Conference area

Open to: Students age 11 and older

Class size: Limited to 16 students 

Cost of class to participant: $55

Go to the MHS online event calendar at www.bestcare.org/calendar. If using the optional "Filter Events By" drop-down, choose "Birth & New Baby Education." Select the desired class date. Check to be sure openings remain, and follow the registration instructions.
