As a part of Occupational Therapy Month, we would like to recognize the Methodist Equipment Loan Program.

The Methodist Equipment Loan Program provides patients in need access to free home medical equipment through their recycle and reuse program, enabling patients to focus on recovery and return home. The program, which has facilitated 77 equipment rentals in a single year since establishment, has equated to just over $8,000 in savings for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, cancer and many more diagnoses.

The Methodist Equipment Loan Program currently operates out of Nebraska Methodist College, where students in the Occupational Therapy program facilitate equipment rental logistics.

Equipment is rented to patients at no cost, but monetary donations are accepted.  Monetary donations are used to repair and sanitize used equipment and purchase additional equipment to meet patient needs.

If you or someone you know has medical equipment no longer in use, please consider contacting the Methodist Equipment Loan Program to donate.
