There is a heightened emphasis on improving the quality and efficiency of health care delivered in the United States. Health care managers are challenged to consider innovative approaches to address these issues while also keeping focused on the employees they lead.
Nebraska Methodist College has developed a leadership certificate program filled with strategies and tools to enable leaders to cultivate excellence in their health care organizations. The objective of this program is to enhance a leader’s understanding of topics identified to be essential for success in leading employees in the continually changing healthcare industry.
Each class will include lecture, group discussion, and individual and group activities and exercise to maximize learning. The series will focus on a different topic essential to healthcare leaders each week. Concepts from LEAN, Studer, and other proven philosophies and frameworks will be utilized. Throughout the course leaders will begin utilizing new concepts and strategies they learn into their jobs. During Week 10, participants will present the most beneficial strategy/tool and how they have integrated it successfully.
Participants who successfully complete the 10-week course will earn a professional certificate of completion.
