Honoring Heather Roberts, the Courageous Woman Behind Leap-for-a-Cure
Leap-for-a-Cure was founded by Heather Roberts and her family after Heather's diagnosis of brain cancer in 2008. To date, Leap-for-a-Cure has raised over $850,000 to benefit patients of Methodist Health System.
A dedicated Methodist Physicians Clinic - Regency employee and brave fighter, Heather departed this life on earth on November 8, 2016. Aquatic therapy was an integral piece in her own battle with this incurable disease, and she wanted all Methodist patients to have access to water therapy. Her dream was fulfilled in October 2017 with the opening of the Methodist Hospital Aquatic Therapy Pool at Methodist HealthWest.
