Binational Health Week Events Include Women's Health Night at Methodist Jennie Edmundson: Oct. 5

Methodist Jennie Edmundson and Nebraska Methodist College are among the community organizations participating in Binational Health Week, including Women’s Health Night with free health screenings and educational booths available to the public from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5, at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

The Mobile Diabetes Center from Nebraska Methodist College will provide screenings and education at the Binational Health Week Family Fair event at All Care Health Center, 902 S. 6th Street, Council Bluffs, on October 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Binational Health Week (BHW) is the largest mobilization efforts in the Americas to improve the health and well-being of the underserved Latino population living in the United States and Canada.

Methodist Health System plays a role in these and other events as a community benefit, with the donation of educational and medical materials as well as time and services from physicians, staff and students to help underserved populations in the community.
