The story focuses on Methodist's 125-year history of surgical excellence, with a brief look back at one of the founding fathers of Methodist Hospital: Dr. Harold Gifford Sr., the internationally renowned eye surgeon who donated his Omaha eye and ear clinic in 1891 to give the community a Methodist Hospital open to all, regardless of religion, race, gender or ability to pay.
